NeoSan Labs 03 Carpet is a two-part (A and B) cleaner, deodoriser and stain remover for carpet, curtains and textiles. It is formulated for hot water extraction and runs through any portable or truck-mounted extractor. It removes stains and odours without encapsulating agents, fragrance or optical brighteners, and lifts the residue left behind by earlier shampoos and detergents.
What is in the box
- 2 x 1 US gallon (3.8 L) of C03-A
- 2 x 1 US gallon (3.8 L) of C03-B
- 15.14 L in total
- Dilution ratio 1:9 for regular cleaning
How the two-part system works
Each NeoSan Labs product is supplied as two separate liquids, A and B. They are stable apart and are combined in equal parts immediately before use. The mixed solution is left to rest for 10 minutes before application and then stays usable for 12 hours, so mix only what you will apply in that window.
Why residue matters
Carpet holds more than the visible soil: old shampoo, detergent residue, skin cells and spills build up in the pile and backing. Residue left behind attracts new soil, which is why a carpet cleaned with a high-residue product can look dirty again within weeks. NeoSan Labs 03 is designed to remove that build-up and leave nothing behind that re-soils.

- 03-A contains benzalkonium chloride (a quaternary ammonium compound) at a disclosed maximum of 5% and is classified as corrosive to skin and eyes and very toxic to aquatic life. Do not let it enter drains or waterways.
- 03-B is a hydrogen peroxide solution. Keep it away from combustible materials and do not return mixed or unused product to the bottle.
- Wear chemical-resistant gloves, chemical goggles and protective clothing. Ventilate the area during and after extraction.
- If either part gets in the eyes, rinse with water for at least 15 minutes and get medical attention immediately. For poisons advice, call 13 11 26.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use it through my truck mount?
Yes. It is formulated for hot water extraction and runs through truck-mounted and portable extractors. Pre-spray, allow at least 2 minutes, then extract with warm water.
What dilution should I use?
1:9 with water for regular cleaning, and full strength on stains and problem areas, after mixing A and B in equal parts.
Will stains come back?
NeoSan Labs state that stains are neutralised rather than masked and will not reappear. Wicking from deep in the backing or underlay is a separate problem: extract thoroughly and dry quickly.
Does it leave a scent?
No. It is fragrance-free. A clean, neutral carpet is the intended result.
Is it a carpet disinfectant?
Not in Australia. It is not listed on the ARTG, so we sell it as a cleaner, deodoriser and stain remover only.
A note on earlier versions of this page
Earlier versions of this page carried the manufacturer's US marketing for NeoSan Labs 03 Carpet, including 99.99999% kill rates, named pathogens, sterilisation and "nontoxic" or "nonharmful" claims. Disinfectant and germ-kill claims in Australia need an ARTG listing, and safety claims of that kind need evidence we can stand behind here. NeoSan Labs products are not listed on the ARTG, so those claims have been removed. The formula is unchanged. Where a scope calls for a listed disinfectant, ask us: Actichem Percide is the listed peroxide option we carry.
The earlier page also referred to "NeoSan Labs 02" in its description of this product. That was a copy error, now corrected.
