What the sleeve does
It gives the operator a consistent grip point on a tube that is otherwise hot and slippery when wet, and protects the tube finish where the wand is gripped and set down. On a stainless wand it also keeps the contact area from polishing to a mirror, which is where slips start.
Fitment
Sized for 1.5 inch tube. Measure the outside diameter of your wand tube before ordering — 1.5 inch and 1.25 inch tube are both common, and the sleeve will not stretch to cover the difference.
PMF also makes a 1.5 × 4 inch sleeve (AC15), a 2 × 6 inch sleeve (AC17) and a 1.25 × 4.5 inch sleeve (AC18). Ask us if you need a different size.
Frequently asked questions
Will it fit a 2 inch wand like the Mach 15?
No. A 2 inch tube needs the 2 × 6 inch sleeve (PMF AC17).
When should it be replaced?
When it has split, slides on the tube or has worn through to the metal.
