The Wagner L622 is a pinless, digital recording moisture meter for lumber and mill quality control. It scans to 25 mm deep without marking the timber, reads 5–30% moisture content, and stores up to 5,000 readings for reporting through Wagner's Stat Pak software. Wagner state that in the 15%+ range it is more accurate than the earlier L612.
Wagner's pinless technology reads the moisture in the wood rather than on its surface, so readings are not thrown off by surface moisture on the lumber, according to Wagner.
