Injectidry Wall Injectors for the HP Systems 3/16" OD Black
The wall injector is the small black nozzle at the end of each length of 3/8 inch tubing in an Injectidry HP system. It sits in a hole drilled through the lining and carries the air between the cavity and the active hoseline. CCW sells them each; Injectidry packs them in bags of 100.

How the HP system works
Injectidry HP is a forced-air cavity drying system. An HP blower connects through a Main W manifold to hoselines; each active hoseline has ten 3/8 inch ports, and a length of tubing runs from each port to a wall injector in the wall, ceiling or cabinet. Depending on the set-up, the blower either pushes dry air into the cavity (positive) or draws air out of it (negative). Air moves through the cavity rather than past it, which is how the wall dries without being opened up.
Everything in the range is about maintaining that airflow path. A leak anywhere in the manifold, a capped port left open, or a blocked injector, and the system draws the easy air instead of the air you need moved.
Where the injectors go
Injectors are inserted into small holes drilled through the lining into the cavity. Every injector is connected to the hoseline by tubing, so every hole is a working air path — pushed or drawn, depending on the mode.
Earlier versions of this page described injectors as passive inlets letting replacement air in while the blower extracted elsewhere. That is not how the HP works, and the description has been corrected.
Placement is the skill. Injectidry's HP-60 guide places injectors low along walls (score a light line at the top of the skirting and drill beneath it), under cabinets through the kick plate — or inside the cabinet where it will be out of sight — and into ceilings with the hole angled at 45° or more. Injectors scattered without a plan just short-circuit the airflow across the nearest few. Think about the path, not the count.
Drilling and tubing (Injectidry guidance)
- Injectidry's product sheet gives the wall injector as 3/16 inch for drywall (plasterboard) or 1/4 inch for wood.
- The HP-60 guide calls for a 1/4 inch drill bit when drilling beneath cabinets.
- Ceilings: start the hole straight, penetrate the plasterboard only slightly, then angle the rest of the hole at 45° or more.
- General-purpose tubing length is 18–20 inches (about 460–510 mm); use 6 inches (about 150 mm) if the active hoselines are hung from the ceiling or upper walls.
- Cap every tubing port you are not using with a nipple cap.
Document the holes
You are drilling a customer's wall. Photograph the locations before and after, agree the make-good with the customer in advance, and record it. This is the single most common source of dispute on cavity drying, and it is entirely avoidable with a photograph and a conversation.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many do I need?
One per tubing port in use. Each active hoseline has ten ports, and Injectidry's Wall & Ceiling Active Hose Upgrade Kit includes 150 injectors for 12 hoselines, which allows spares. Injectors are small and easily lost or damaged — carry more than you plan to use.
Do these fit the Direct-It system?
No. Direct-It uses 5/8 inch OD wall penetrators in larger holes. These 3/16 inch injectors are for HP tubing.
Can injectors be reused?
Injectidry does not publish a service life. Inspect each one when you pull it out — discard any that are cracked, split or will not hold in the tubing. After a Category 2 or 3 loss, clean and disinfect before reuse or discard.
