Chemical Draw Tube for Hydro-Force Sprayers

Product Overview

The clear chemical draw tube for Hydro-Force injection sprayers. Nine inches long, it runs from the Acorn Strainer (NA0840) in the bottom of the concentrate bottle up through the Hydro-Force Bottle Cap (NA0812) to the injector valve.

Why It Is Clear, and Why That Helps

Being able to see the tube is a diagnostic in itself. If the sprayer is not drawing, watch the tube: fluid moving means the draw is working and the problem is downstream at the metering tip or nozzle; nothing moving means the blockage is at the acorn strainer or the tube itself.

The tube is retained by a clamp at the valve end and connects through a nylon barb.

Frequently Asked Questions

Mine has gone hard and cloudy. Does that matter?

Yes. A tube that has hardened will not seat properly on the barb and will draw air, which shows up as inconsistent dilution rather than an obvious failure.

Can I use generic tubing?

We would not. The bore and wall are matched to the barb and to the suction the injector generates, and the chemical resistance is not published — which means a generic substitution is a guess.

How do I get it off?

Hydro-Force's own instruction for changing a metering tip starts with removing the clear tube at the bottom of the injection valve, so it is designed to come off by hand.

Does it come with the strainer or barb?

No. The tube is supplied on its own.

What We See in the Field

Customer says, "My Hydro-Force won't draw chemical." Check for softening, kinks, loose barbs and chemical deposits, especially near the ends where the tube bends. If you replace it, cut it cleanly and make sure the submerged strainer can't suck itself flat against the bottom of the bottle.
