Extech MO290-HP Hammer Probe
The Extech MO290-HP Hammer Probe features a set of 4 cm insulated pins with pointed tips. These pins are specifically designed to penetrate tough surfaces and are compatible with select Extech moisture meters that accommodate external probes. A total of four pins are included.

Why a hammer probe
Surface readings tell you about the surface. Timber and structural substrates dry from the outside in, so a surface reading on a wet joist reads dry while the core is still holding water — and the drying job gets signed off early.
A hammer probe drives insulated pins to depth so you can read a gradient rather than a single number.
