Delmhorst meters are pin instruments built for people who need a number they can defend. The range is deliberately narrow, mechanically simple and heavily supported by electrodes — which is what makes it the standard for timber, flooring and behind-the-wall work.

CCW carries the meters, the electrode range that does the actual measuring, and the calibration standards that prove the instrument was reading true.

Meters include the BDX-30 and BDX-20 with contractor, EIFS, wood flooring and behind-the-wall packages, the TotalCheck 3-in-1 with flooring and restoration packages, TechCheck Plus, the JX-30 with and without a 26-ES hammer electrode, the PX-30 paper meter, the JLX-30 leather meter, the analogue RC-1E and the HT-4000 thermo-hygrometer. Electrodes and accessories run to the 26-ES, 18-ES and 26-ED slide hammer probes, 2-E, 22-E, 21-E, 22-ET and 21-ET pin electrodes, 19-E blade types, insulated and uninsulated contact pins in a range of penetrations, concrete sleeves, and the RH/TK/33 and RH/TK/75 humidity test kits.

How to choose

The electrode decides the measurement, not the meter. The same meter reads timber, plaster or a wall cavity depending on what is fitted. Choose the electrode for the material and the depth first.

Penetration depth is a specification, not a preference. Insulated contact pins measure at their tip; uninsulated pins read the wettest point along their length. On a drying job that difference decides whether you are reading the surface or the core.

Slide hammers are for dense material. A 26-ES or 18-ES drives pins into hardwood or a subfloor without damaging the electrode body. Trying to hand-press pins into dense timber bends them.

Calibration standards close the loop. Wood and paper moisture content standards and the RH test kits let you show the instrument was in specification. Where a reading feeds a report, that matters.
