Why Measuring Actually Pays
Over-dosing is the more common error and it costs twice. You use more chemical than the job needs, and you leave residue in the carpet that attracts soil — so the job looks worse in three weeks than a correctly dosed one would.
Under-dosing costs differently: the prespray does not do its work, you compensate with more passes and more water, and drying time goes up.
A cup is a few dollars against a drum of concentrate and a reputation for work that stays clean.
Graduations
The manufacturer states only that each cup is "calibrated for exact measuring" and does not publish the graduation units.
