What a glide changes
A bare wand head drags, so the operator pushes harder, the head lifts at the front and the vacuum seal breaks intermittently. A glide lifts the head onto a low-friction face so it slides, and holds a consistent gap so airflow into the slot is even along its length. The wand pushes more easily, the carpet comes up drier, and the operator can work at a consistent speed.
Check the tube size
This is the 1.5 inch glide. The 2 inch version is a separate part. Measure the wand tube before ordering.

Part number conflict
Most listings give 2097A as HydraMaster 000-108-211. One US distributor cross-references 2097A to 000-108-210 for a 12 inch head. We show both rather than choose; if your wand head is not 13 inches wide, measure it and check with us.
Fitting
- Remove the old glide screws and lift the glide off the head.
- Clean the head face so the new glide sits flat.
- Fit the new glide and tighten the screws evenly; do not over-tighten into the head.
- Check the slot gap is even along its length before using the wand.
