Overview
Red pilot light, round. HydraMaster part number 000-084-006.
It is the indicator lamp on the machine's control panel. Small, cheap, and worth replacing the moment it fails — because a warning lamp that does not light is worse than no lamp at all.
What it fits
- HydraMaster CDS 4.2 / 4.7 — Lamp, Red Pilot – Round, 2 fitted
- HydraMaster SpitFire 3.2 — Lamp, Red Pilot – Round, 1 to 2 fitted depending on the assembly
CCW's own record also notes it as used on older HydraMaster units. Those are the machines we can name from the parts lists we hold; round panel indicators of this type are used elsewhere in the range, but we are not going to claim fitment we have not verified. Send us your machine model and we will check its parts list before you order.
Why a dead indicator matters
Panel lamps exist to tell an operator something before it becomes expensive — a circuit live, a fault condition, a system on when it should be off. Once the lamp has failed, the operator quietly stops relying on that information and the machine loses a layer of protection nobody notices has gone.
The other reason to fix it promptly is diagnostic. A lamp that has failed makes fault-finding harder for whoever works on the machine next, because they cannot tell whether the circuit is dead or just the indicator.
Fitting advice
Isolate the circuit before you start. It is a low-voltage panel, but a spanner across a live terminal in a tight console still makes a mess.
Check the panel cut-out diameter and the mounting arrangement before you order if you are replacing a lamp on a machine that is not on the list above. Round panel indicators come in several standard sizes and they are not interchangeable.
Before you condemn a lamp, check that it is actually the lamp — measure for voltage at the holder. A dead indicator is quite often a broken earth or a failed switch, and replacing the lamp will not fix either.
Frequently asked questions
What voltage is it?
HydraMaster does not state the lamp voltage in the parts lists we hold. The CDS control circuits are 12 V DC, but we are not going to publish a rating we have not verified. Ask us and we will confirm before you order.
What panel hole does it need?
Not stated in the documentation we hold. Measure your existing cut-out, or send us a photo, and we will confirm.
Is it LED or filament?
Not stated. Ask us if it matters for your application.
My lamp is out but the system works. Do I need to fix it?
Yes. The lamp is there to tell you something. A machine that has lost its indicators has lost information the next person to work on it will need.
Send us your machine model, serial number and a photo of the panel and we will confirm the correct indicator before you order.
