An adjustable strap that spans the joint between two connected vacuum hose lengths, so the cuffs cannot pull apart in service.
The manufacturer's own description: it prevents vacuum hose separation at the connectors, which commonly happens when winding the hose reel, and when going up stairs or up the side of a building. It is fully adjustable to fit any hose size and any distance between the hose pieces.
Not the Same Thing as a Velcro Strap
These get confused and they do opposite jobs.
- A velcro strap bundles a coiled hose for storage or holds two hoses together along a run.
- The Vacstrap stays on the hose in service and spans a joint, taking the axial pull so the cuff connection cannot separate under load.
If your hose is coming apart at the joints when you wind the reel or haul it upstairs, this is the part. If your hoses are tangling, you want a velcro strap instead.
