Do not run the machine without it
The cover guards a spinning fan and directs cooling air across the motor. Running without it exposes the fan and changes the airflow the motor relies on to stay within temperature. A machine that keeps cutting out on thermal overload is worth checking for a missing or crushed cover before anything more expensive is suspected.
The matching fastener is the fan motor cover screw.

Before You Fit It
- Unplug the machine before removing or fitting the cover.
- If the old cover was crushed, check the fan itself before refitting. A damaged fan will not be fixed by a new cover.
- Replace any missing or damaged cover screws at the same time. The motor lid screw HOS3023-06 is a different part.
- Confirm the fan turns freely by hand with the cover on before powering up.
