The Delmhorst J-Lite is a basic LED wood moisture meter. Twelve bright LEDs show moisture content from 6% to 30% — no screen, no menus, no settings to get wrong.
LEDs are the point. In direct sunlight on a roof, or in a dark subfloor, an LED bar is readable where an LCD is not. It is a go/no-go instrument for someone who needs to know whether timber is wet, not by how much to two decimal places.

Who it suits
Carpenters, builders and anyone checking timber before it goes in. It is also a sensible second meter to leave in a ute — at this price you are not worrying about where it is.
Who it does not suit. Anyone who needs a recorded number. There is no species correction, no temperature correction and no storage. For documented readings, look at the JX-30 or BDX-30.
Frequently asked questions
Is 6% to 30% enough range?
For construction timber, yes — that band covers dry through to saturated for most framing and flooring work. Above 30% you are into readings that a resistance meter treats as "wet" regardless.
Can I use my existing electrodes?
Yes. The built-in connector takes any Delmhorst electrode, so a 21-E or 26-ES from another meter works.
Why a three year warranty when better meters get two?
Fewer components to fail. There is no display, no radio and no software — which is also why it keeps working when more capable meters are back for service.

Two year warranty on manufacturing defects. This does not exclude, restrict or modify your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
