Product Overview
The Westpak AW792 is a forged stainless steel Soft Touch angled valve fitted to carpet cleaning and truckmount wands.
It shares the same body design and mounting pattern as the brass Westpak AW791, but is built in stainless steel and rated to 1500 psi, making it suited to higher-pressure and hot water extraction setups.
Why Professionals Choose It
Unlike a standard ball valve that snaps open and shut, this soft touch valve throttles smoothly, so operators can meter flow with a light, progressive squeeze rather than a hard action. This reduces strain on the hand and wrist over a full day of cleaning.
Key Features
- Soft-opening throttle action for precise, low-effort flow control even at higher pressures
- Forged stainless steel body for strength, corrosion resistance and long service life
- Stainless steel ball with a Teflon seat that is self-cleaning and self-centering
- 30-degree angled outlet, removing the need for a separate elbow fitting
- Rated to 1500 psi, suited to truckmount and hot water extraction pressures
Applications and Compatibility
Fitted as the flow control valve on carpet cleaning wands including AW29 and compatible Hydramaster 1.5 inch Evolution wands. Shares the same mounting pattern as the brass AW791 valve, so it can be used as a direct upgrade where extra pressure capacity or corrosion resistance is needed. As wand valve mounting patterns vary between manufacturers, confirm the mounting pattern and thread size of your existing valve with our team before ordering as a replacement.

Maintenance
Apply rubber grease to the o-rings on the valve stem every 100 hours of use.
If the valve begins to leak, stick, or loses its smooth throttling action, the Soft Touch Valve Repair Kit (AW794) rebuilds both the brass (AW791) and stainless steel (AW792) versions. If a rebuilt valve continues to leak after repair, replacement is generally the more reliable option.
