Operating Advice
Use the lever to start, stop and throttle solution flow at the wand. The soft-opening design allows flow to be metered gradually, rather than snapping fully open or shut, so use a light, progressive squeeze rather than the full-force action needed on a standard ball valve.
Maintenance
The self-cleaning, self-centering ball and Teflon seat are designed to maintain a good seal with normal use. Please apply rubber grease to the o rings on the valve stem every 100 hours. If the valve begins to leak, stick, or loses its smooth throttling action, the Soft Touch Valve Repair Kit (AW794) rebuilds both the brass (AW791) and stainless steel (AW792) versions of this valve.
If a rebuilt valve continues to leak or will not hold pressure after repair, replacement is generally the more reliable option. As a general rule change the whole valve after re-kitting 3-4 times.
