The Tramex WDTK Water Damage Restoration Tech Kit is the compact, lower-cost entry to the Tramex water damage range: two analogue non-destructive meters and an extension handle in a travel case. It suits inspectors and technicians who need to find and map moisture in concrete, timber, drywall, plaster and other building materials quickly, without logging or RH testing.
Kit contents
Per the Tramex WDTK kit data sheet:
- Moisture Encounter 5 – ME5
- Concrete Moisture Encounter 5 – CME5
- Extension handle (E5-HBS)
- Tramex easy-travel case
- Tramex Meters app for Android and iOS (phone not included)
What each meter does
CME5 – concrete
Instant, non-destructive quantitative testing of concrete, using gravimetric testing as the baseline, and comparative testing to ASTM F2659.
ME5 – timber and building materials
Non-destructive quantitative testing of wood and comparative testing of drywall, plaster, brick, tiles, resilient flooring, laminates and roofing. Its dual-depth feature lets you eliminate substrate influence on readings taken through coverings.
App
Over Bluetooth, the Tramex Meters app geotags results, creates and shares reports and charts, and mirrors the meter screen on your phone when the meter is on the extension handle or out of sight.

How the four water damage kits compare
| Kit | Meters | Datalogger | RH probes and extras |
| WDTK – Tech Kit | ME5 + CME5 | No | Extension handle only |
| WDIK – Inspector Kit | CMEX5 + ME5 | DL-RHTX | Pin probe, 200 mm insulated pins, 127 mm short narrow RH probe, IR thermometer, salts, handle |
| WDMK – Master Kit | CMEX5 + ME5 | DL-RHTX | As WDIK, but with the 260 mm narrow wand RH probe, plus one Hygro-i2 probe and hole liners |
| WDMK-X – Master Kit X | CMEX5 + MEX5 | DL-RHTX | As WDMK |
The practical differences: the WDTK is the analogue pair with no logging and no RH probes. The WDIK adds the digital CMEX5, a datalogger, pin probe and RH wand. The WDMK adds a Hygro-i2 in-situ probe and hole liners and swaps to the longer RH wand. The WDMK-X swaps the analogue ME5 for the digital MEX5.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying the kit cheaper than the parts?
Generally yes. Both meters and the handle are also sold individually if you would rather build up over time.
Can I add RH or pin probes to this kit later?
Not to these meters – neither the ME5 nor the CME5 has probe ports. For RH and pin readings you need the digital CMEX5 or MEX5, which is why the WDIK and above are built around them.
Does a non-destructive reading prove a slab is ready for flooring?
No. Flooring specifications call for in-situ relative humidity testing to AS 1884-2012 or ASTM F2170. The WDTK finds and maps moisture; it does not perform that test.
Is a phone included?
No. The Tramex Meters app is a free download for iOS and Android and runs on your own device.
