SKU:TMFTK

The Tramex FTK Flooring Installer Tech Kit is a compact kit for flooring installers who need the key numbers at the time of installation: non-destructive concrete moisture, ambient conditions logged over time, and floor surface temperature for dew point.

Kit contents

Per the Tramex FTK kit data sheet (April 2025):

What the kit does

The CME5 gives non-destructive quantitative moisture readings in concrete, using gravimetric testing as the baseline, and comparative readings to ASTM F2659. The DL-RHTX tests, monitors and time-logs relative humidity, temperature and dew point in the space. The contact temperature probe plugs into the logger and records floor surface temperature, so the app can show when the surface is near dew point.

Over Bluetooth, the Tramex Meters app geotags results, creates and shares reports, photos and charts, and mirrors the meter screen on your phone when the meter is on the extension handle.

Kit Contents
FZK – Inspector EZ Kit CMEX5, 1 Hygro-i2 RH probe, pin-type wood probe, hole liners, easy-travel case
FIK – Inspector Kit As FZK, plus IRT2 infrared thermometer and extension handle, in a heavy-duty case
FTK – Installer Tech Kit CME5, DL-RHTX datalogger, contact temperature probe, extension handle

The FZK and FIK are built around the digital CMEX5 for inspectors. The FTK is built differently – the analogue CME5 with a datalogger, aimed at installers monitoring a slab and ambient conditions over a job rather than producing one-off inspection readings.

Frequently asked questions

Why the analogue CME5 rather than the digital CMEX5?

The FTK is built for installers monitoring conditions over a job rather than producing inspection reports. The CME5 surveys the slab; the DL-RHTX does the logging and the reporting. If you need one instrument that both surveys and produces ASTM F2170 RH results, the FIK or a CMEX5 is the better fit.

What is the contact temperature probe for?

Surface temperature. Combined with the ambient RH the logger records, it gives dew point at the slab surface – which is what tells you whether an adhesive or coating can be applied that day.

Does it include Hygro-i2 RH probes?

No. The DL-RHTX accepts them but they are not in the kit. Add the AP-F2170-B pack or individual probes, cable and liners for in-situ testing.

Is a phone included?

No. The Tramex Meters app is a free download for iOS and Android and runs on your own device.

Can I buy the components separately?

Yes – every instrument in the kit is also sold individually. The kit is generally better value and removes the risk of ordering an accessory with the wrong connector.
