Important — old style yellow bodies only
This cover suits the older yellow-bodied meters, not the grey soft-touch generation:

- Protimeter TimberMaster
- Protimeter Mini
- Protimeter Aquant
If your meter has the grey soft-touch body, this is not the part. For the MMS2, the cover is the BLD8800BATCAP. Send us a photo if you are unsure.
Why replace it
The cover holds the cells against their contacts and keeps site dust and water out of the compartment. A meter that switches itself off mid-reading, or shows corrosion on the contacts, usually traces back to a cover that no longer seats.
