Where the extension earns its place
Behind a fixture, under a vanity, into the back of a cupboard, along the underside of a joist. Anywhere the reading you need is somewhere your hand can reach and the meter cannot. Protimeter describes it as extending the pins for hard-to-reach areas, and in practice that is most of a bathroom or kitchen leak investigation.
For heavier work and deeper penetration, the BLD5060 heavy duty moisture probe is the sturdier option.
