Benefect Quantum Chemical Residue Remover 1Gal

Regular price $90.23

SKU:ICP40475-1

Benefect Quantum is a ready-to-use, bio-based and peroxide-free cleaner for removing microscopic chemical residues from surfaces, fixtures and contents, particularly residues from illicit drug use and production such as methamphetamine, fentanyl, heroin and oxycodone. Benefect also list it for allergens and for tear gas and pepper spray residue.

It works by removal rather than oxidation: optimised surfactants and counter-ions disperse and suspend organic chemical contaminants so they can be wiped or rinsed away. Benefect's position is that current international methamphetamine decontamination standards favour cleaning and removal over neutralisation, encapsulation or oxidation, and that oxidisers such as hydrogen peroxide can create unknown by-products.

This listing: 1 US gallon (3.78 L), ready to use, CCW SKU ICP40475-1.

  • No solvents, petrochemicals, phosphates, dyes or fragrances; no VOCs according to Benefect
  • Botanically sourced or sustainable ingredients, according to Benefect

Applications

  • Items, fixtures and contents
  • Non-porous and semi-porous surfaces such as walls and floors

Directions

  1. Remove visible debris with HEPA-filtered equipment.
  2. Wet the surface with Quantum by sprayer (high or low pressure, hand or power operated), foamer, cloth, sponge or clean mop. Spot test for surface compatibility first.
  3. Leave for 10 minutes. Do not let the surface dry fully; it is easier to wipe or rinse while wet.
  4. Wipe off with a clean, damp microfibre cloth.
  5. Rinse and extract the waste for safe disposal, or repeat the damp wipe if rinsing is not possible.
  6. Repeat steps 2–4 three times.
  7. Sample for testing once dry.

Heavy contamination or difficult conditions may need additional applications.

Meth-Affected Properties in Australia

In Australia, meth-affected properties are remediated to state and territory guidelines and cleared by post-remediation testing. Quantum is a cleaning step; it does not replace that testing. Plan the job around the clearance level the property has to meet, and sample once surfaces are dry.

ICP's clean-up guide (linked below) notes that fentanyl sites should not be ventilated in the way meth sites are, because of fentanyl's toxicity and particle size. Fentanyl work needs a specialist procedure and PPE.

Waste

Unused product can go to drain, but waste from the clean-up carries the contamination you removed. Dispose of it as your state EPA and local authority require for that contamination.

Safety

The Australian SDS (ICP Group Australasia, version 1.1, August 2026) classifies Quantum as non-hazardous: no pictogram, signal word or hazard statements. It is not regulated as dangerous goods. The PPE you wear is set by the drug residues on site, not by Quantum.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Quantum neutralise methamphetamine?

No. It removes residues by cleaning; it is not an oxidiser or encapsulant. Clearance is shown by post-remediation sampling.

How many passes?

Three passes of wet, 10 minutes, wipe, then sample once dry. Heavy contamination may need more.

Why peroxide-free?

Benefect's view is that oxidisers can create unknown by-products and VOCs, and that removal is the approach current standards favour.

Can I use it on contents?

Yes. Benefect list items, fixtures and contents as well as walls and floors. Spot test first.

Is it hazardous?

The Australian SDS classifies it as non-hazardous. The drug residues are the hazard; wear the PPE they require.

A Note on Earlier Versions of This Page

Earlier versions of this page described Quantum as "safe and non-toxic", "lab-tested and field-proven" and all-natural. We have replaced those statements with the Australian SDS classification and the manufacturer's stated ingredients.
