Protimeter Technician's Kit
Two instruments and a full probe set in one hard case: the SurveyMaster for moisture in and behind materials, and the HygroMaster 2 for the air and surface conditions driving the drying. It is the kit for a technician who needs both measurement methods on every job rather than choosing one.

Why both instruments
A moisture meter tells you what is wet. A hygrometer tells you whether it will dry. Reading material moisture without the air condition is how a technician ends up running equipment on a structure that has already reached equilibrium, or pulling equipment off one that has not.
SurveyMaster
Pin mode measures moisture where the pins make contact; non-invasive mode reads below the surface without marking it. Sold separately here.
HygroMaster 2
Relative humidity, air temperature, dew point, specific humidity, and surface temperature by infrared or contact probe. Logs unattended at intervals from one minute to 24 hours and downloads to PC software. Sold separately here.
Note that this kit contains the HygroMaster 2, not the lighter HygroMaster L. The 2 adds data logging, infrared surface temperature and surface proximity to dew point, none of which the L provides.
Consumables to order with it
- Insulated needles for the hammer electrode (BLD05296) — needles bend and blunt in normal use
- Hygrostick (POL4750) and Quickstick ST (POL8751) — humidity sensors are consumables
- Calcheck calibration check device (BLD5086)
- Salt calibration check, 75% RH (BLD4790) with its adaptor
