QuickStick or Hygrostick?
The QuickStick is the fast-responding general-purpose sensor — it is what you want for walking a building and taking ambient readings. The Hygrostick (POL4750) is specified by Protimeter for high humidity applications, and the mini Hygrosticks are the ones designed to be left in a concrete slab.
They are interchangeable on the same meters, so most surveyors carry a QuickStick for ambient work and Hygrosticks for the jobs that need them.
Sensors drift, and drift is invisible
A humidity sensor that has been through a mould job, a fire or a summer in a vehicle will read differently from a new one, and nothing on the display says so. Verify it against the 75% RH salt check before any job whose numbers go into a report.

It does not fit the SurveyMaster, TimberMaster, Mini range, Aquant or ReachMaster Pro. Those measure moisture in materials rather than humidity in air, and take no humidity sensor.
