The SX-15 head for the Gekko wand. It is the largest head in the Gekko range — a 15 inch spinner for open hard floor, fitted to the same wand that takes the corner tool and the 4 inch head.
The Gekko System — One Wand, Six Heads
Gekko is a modular hard surface system. One wand takes any of six cleaning heads through a threaded collar, so a single wand covers open floor, corners, coving, shower walls, countertops and under toe kicks.

Important — New Gekko Heads Only
The current Gekko wand connects to all of the new Gekko heads. It will not work on old Gekko heads.
If you are adding to an existing Gekko set rather than buying new, tell us what you already have and we will confirm the generation before you order. This is the single most common mis-purchase on the range, and the parts look similar enough that it is not obvious until they are in your hands.
Important — A Head, Not a Complete Tool
This is the attachment. It needs the Gekko Wand (AR51A).
If you want a complete standalone SX-15 with its own handle rather than a Gekko head, that is the Hydro-Force SX-15 Rotary Tile Cleaner (AW105). The two are easy to confuse and they are not interchangeable purchases.
How the SX-15 Works
- 15 inch cleaning path. The path is 25 percent wider than a 12 inch tool, so each pass covers more floor. Actual coverage rate depends on the surface, the soil load and the operator.
- Radial vacuum line. The vacuum path is shaped to draw air evenly around the head rather than pulling hardest at the port, which is what keeps recovery consistent across the full width.
- EZ-LOC boot change. Boots are a wearing part. This one changes without screws, posts or tools, which decides whether boots get replaced on schedule or run past their life.
- Toe-adjustable vacuum relief. Suction is adjusted with a foot while working, rather than stopping to reach a control.
- Low profile. It fits under toe kicks, which is where a taller tool leaves a visible unclean strip.
- Easy-access inline filter. Reachable without stripping the head.

Pressure in Practice
Around 1,000 psi is sufficient for tile and grout work. The 700 to 2,600 psi range is the tool's tolerance, not a target. If a floor is not coming up, dwell time and chemistry will do more than turning the pressure up, and high pressure on grout that has already failed simply removes it.
Pressure on the Gekko Wand
The head tolerates up to 2,600 psi. The Gekko Wand it fits is rated to 2,000 psi, so on a Gekko setup the wand sets the ceiling, not the head.
Operating Advice
- Check the boots before each job. Worn boots lose the seal and recovery drops before anything looks wrong.
- Clear the inline filter regularly. It is easy to reach, which is exactly why it gets forgotten.
- Work back toward an exit and overlap each pass.
- Set the vacuum relief so the tool glides rather than gripping. A tool sucking down is slower and harder on the operator.

Is this a complete tool?
No. It is the head. It fits the Gekko Wand (AR51A).
What is the difference between this and the AW105?
The same 15 inch cleaning technology. This is the Gekko head; the AW105 is the standalone tool with its own handle.
Will it fit an old Gekko wand?
No. New generation only.
What brush does it take?
Brush Assembly for SX-15 (AB53).
SX-15 or SX-7?
SX-15 for open floor and speed. SX-7 (AR51G) for edges, corners, showers and countertops, where its teardrop shape gets closer to the wall.

What We See in the Field
The Gekko range gets bought head by head over time, and the generation question is what catches people out — an old wand with a new head, or the reverse, bought months apart from different places. Check the generation before ordering rather than after.
The other pattern is pressure. Operators who are disappointed with a hard surface result are usually short on dwell time or running the wrong chemistry, and no amount of extra pressure at the tool makes up for either.
