The Gekko Wand is the heart of the Gekko system. Every Gekko head attaches to it through a threaded collar, so the wand is bought once and the heads are chosen for the work.
Stainless steel tubing, an adjustable handle, a second ergonomic handle for moving the wand, a swivel head and vacuum relief.
The Gekko System — One Wand, Six Heads
Gekko is a modular hard surface system. One wand takes any of six cleaning heads through a threaded collar, so a single wand covers open floor, corners, coving, shower walls, countertops and under toe kicks.

Important — New Gekko Heads Only
The current Gekko wand connects to all of the new Gekko heads. It will not work on old Gekko heads.
If you are adding to an existing Gekko set rather than buying new, tell us what you already have and we will confirm the generation before you order. This is the single most common mis-purchase on the range, and the parts look similar enough that it is not obvious until they are in your hands.

Hydro-Force does not publish the wand length or weight. Rather than estimate them, we have left them out.
What It Runs On
The Gekko range works with any truckmount or high-pressure portable extractor. It is a high-pressure tool system, so a low-pressure portable will connect but will not deliver the result the tools were designed around.
Around 1,000 psi is sufficient for tile and grout work. The tools are rated to 2,000 psi, which is headroom rather than a target — if you are reaching for more pressure to get a result, dwell time and chemistry are usually the answer.
Why the Swivel and the Vacuum Relief Matter
A swivel head lets the tool stay flat on the surface as the operator's wrist angle changes through a stroke. Without it the head lifts at the end of each pass and recovery drops exactly where the operator is trying to finish.
Vacuum relief is what stops the tool sucking itself down onto a smooth wet floor. A hard surface tool with no relief grips the tile, the operator forces it, and both the seal and the operator's back pay for it.
Operating Advice
- Check the collar is fully threaded and seated before starting. A head that works loose under vacuum is how the seal face gets damaged.
- Set the handle to your height rather than working bent over. That adjustment is why the second handle is there.
- Flush the wand through at the end of a job, especially after acidic tile chemistry.

Does it come with a head?
No. The wand is supplied without a head so you can choose the ones your work needs. See the table above.
Will it fit my older Gekko heads?
No. It connects to the new Gekko heads only. Tell us what you have and we will confirm before you order.
Can I run it on a portable?
On a high-pressure portable, yes. On a low-pressure machine it will connect but will not perform as intended.
How many heads do I need to start?
Most operators start with one open-floor head and the corner tool, because corners and edges are what a spinner cannot reach and what the customer inspects first.
Is it the same as the wet vac wand?
No. The Gekko Wet Vac Wand (AR51X) is a vacuum-only wand. This one carries solution under pressure.

What We See in the Field
The Gekko range gets bought head by head over time, and the generation question is what catches people out — an old wand with a new head, or the reverse, bought months apart from different places. Check the generation before ordering rather than after.
The other pattern is pressure. Operators who are disappointed with a hard surface result are usually short on dwell time or running the wrong chemistry, and no amount of extra pressure at the tool makes up for either.
