Why Heat Is the Key

Peak performance is achieved when water temperature at the wand reaches 75°C or higher; the elevated heat accelerates gum dissolution and extraction. Hydro-Force specifies a minimum of 170°F (about 77°C) at the wand and notes that the higher the heat, the quicker and better the gum is removed.
Measure the temperature at the wand, not at the machine. Long hose runs lose heat, and a wand that is below temperature will smear gum rather than lift it.

Is It Right for Your Machine?
The Gum Blaster is designed for truckmounts delivering 300–400 psi and 75°C or more at the wand. If your machine cannot reach that temperature at the wand — which is common with portables and long hose runs — the wand will not perform as intended. Operating Advice
- Test on an inconspicuous area first, particularly on wool and solution-dyed products where high heat can affect the fibre or dyes.
- Let the machine come fully up to temperature before starting, and check the temperature at the wand.
