Poly-Hanger #1 Wall Clip

Regular price $3.14

SKU:RP-PH1-EA

The Poly-Hanger #1 holds poly sheeting on the face of a wall by slipping behind the wall moulding. It attaches in a few seconds, needs no tape or spray glue on the wall, and comes off cleanly for reuse on the next job.

Made in the USA by DP Engineering, Inc. Sold individually — the price is for one hanger.

Poly Hanger #1

  • Hang sheeting directly to wall mouldings of acoustic ceilings
  • Simple to install, reusable
  • Sold individually — the price is for one hanger. At the recommended spacing of about 900 mm (3 ft), a 10 m wall run takes around 12 hangers.
  • Alleviates wall surface damage; no spray glue needed
  • Increases production and prevents poly sheets from falling

Poly-Hangers save time and labour by attaching in just a few seconds, helping to quickly install containment areas, drying chambers, or dust protection barriers at your work site.

They also help to eliminate damage and clean-up efforts caused by tape and glue adhesives, making the work you do safer and more effective.

The Poly-Hanger #1 supports one or more layers of poly-sheeting on the face of the wall by attaching behind the moulding. It can also support poly in front of masonry or panelling by attaching with a small nail into a masonry or panelling joint which can easily be patched after the job is completed.

Important: #1 or #2?

The two wall hangers fit different mouldings. The #1 slips behind the wall moulding and is supported by the moulding's vertical leg, and can also be nailed into a masonry or panelling joint. The Poly-Hanger #2 clips over the horizontal leg of the ceiling wall moulding. Look at the moulding on site before you order.

Poly-Hanger #1 installation

  • Install hangers approximately 900 mm (3 ft) apart.
  • Hang the poly sheeting on the prong, keeping the top of the poly just below the wall moulding.
  • Complete the containment by taping between the poly and the moulding, and by taping over the prong.
  • Hanger 1 can be used to support poly in front of masonry by nailing in a joint using a tension pin (i.e., tempered steel moulding nail available at drywall supply houses).
  • Poly-Hanger 1 is removed by gently pulling down on the outer tip of the wall moulding which causes the back vertical leg to rotate away from the wall and Hanger 1 can be slid downward.
  • Poly-Hangers can also be reused on future jobs.

Frequently asked questions

How many hangers do I need?

At about 900 mm spacing, a 10 m wall run takes around 12 hangers. The price is for one.

Will it mark the wall?

Fitted behind moulding, nothing is attached to the wall surface. Used on masonry or panelling, it leaves a small nail hole in the joint that can be patched after the job.

What if there is no moulding to hang from?

On masonry or panelling, nail it into a joint as described above. For free-standing walls in open areas, a pole system such as the ZipWall Complete Seal Pack is the better choice.

Can I reuse them?

Yes. Remove them as described in the installation steps and keep them for the next job.
