Overview
Fourteen inch two-inch titanium carpet wand, six jets, supplied with the internal-fit PTFE glide. Sapphire part number 67-099A, also catalogued as Legend Brands 128277.
Titanium is used here for stiffness at low weight. A wand head that flexes loses its seal against the carpet at the moment you are pulling hardest, and a wand you carry all day is one you notice the weight of by mid-afternoon. At 3.25 kg this is a large-class wand that stays workable over a full shift.
Six jets, two orifice sizes
The manifold carries six stainless 1/8 inch jets — four VeeJet #8001 and two #11001 — each with a stainless filter check valve. The check valves stop the jets dribbling when the trigger releases, which is what keeps the last pass from over-wetting.
Mixing two orifice sizes across the six positions evens out coverage across a 14 inch head rather than laying down more solution in the centre than at the edges. Overall orifice rating is 06.
Glide changes without tools
The head takes press-fit internal glides, changed by hand:
- PTFE carpet glide (67-084A, Legend 128272) — cut and loop pile, rugs
- Hard surface brush glide (67-084BRUSH, Legend 128275) — tile, grout, vinyl, sealed concrete
Being able to change glides on site is what makes it practical to take one wand to a job that has both carpet and hard floor, rather than carrying two tools.
Note this is the internal fit head. If you already run an older external-fit Sapphire 14 inch wand, its glide is the external-fit 67-084 and the two are not interchangeable.

Which size wand
A 14 inch head covers ground faster on open commercial floors. A 12 inch head is easier to work in occupied residential rooms, around furniture and up stairs, and asks less of the machine's vacuum.
The 12 inch equivalent is the Sapphire 12 inch low profile titanium wand. Match the wand to the work and to what your truckmount can carry — a large head on an under-powered machine gives up recovery rather than gaining productivity.
Maintenance
Check the jets and their filter check valves at service. A partly blocked jet shows as a streak of under-cleaned carpet running the length of the stroke, and it is easy to blame the machine for it.
The valve assembly is designed to be rebuilt rather than replaced. Inspect the glide whenever the wand is off the truck — a worn glide loses the vacuum seal, and recovery drops before anything looks wrong.
Frequently asked questions
What size is it and what does it weigh?
14 inch (355 mm) head, 2 inch (51 mm) deep, 3.25 kg.
What jets does it use?
Six stainless 1/8 inch jets — four VeeJet #8001 and two #11001 — each with a stainless filter check valve.
Can I switch between carpet and hard surface?
Yes, by hand and without tools. The carpet and brush glides are linked above.
What machine does it need?
It is a large-class wand and wants a truckmount with the vacuum to match a 14 inch head. Tell us your machine and we will confirm it is a sensible pairing before you order.
Is the glide included?
Yes. It is supplied with the internal-fit PTFE carpet glide. The brush glide is a separate item.
Will the 12 inch glides fit it?
No. The 12 inch and 14 inch glides are different parts. Order glides by head size.
Tell us your truckmount and the work you do most and we will tell you whether the 14 inch or the 12 inch is the better wand for you.
