Replacement stainless steel mesh filter for the Hydro-Force Hydro-Filter in-line waste filter. This is the element that sits inside the filter body and holds back hair, fibre and grit before they reach the waste tank and the vacuum blower.
One is supplied with every new AC10 filter. This listing is the spare.
Important — This Fits the AC10 Body, Not the AC11
CCW stocks two Hydro-Filter bodies and they take different elements.

Why Stainless
An all-mesh stainless screen lets air pass straight through the element rather than around it, which is the difference between a filter that restricts the line and one that mostly does not. It does not rust, it does not soften with the heat carried in a truckmount vacuum line, and it can be rinsed and reused for years rather than treated as a consumable.
When to Replace
Replace on condition rather than on an interval. The screen has reached the end of its life when:
- the mesh is split, torn or holed anywhere — a hole passes debris straight to the blower and gives no warning that it is doing so
- the rim is distorted and no longer sits flat and square in the body
- the mesh is crushed or collapsed from an impact, so airflow is restricted even when the screen is clean
- soil will no longer rinse out of the mesh

Is a screen included with a new filter?
Yes. Every AC10 and AC10F ships with one. This listing is a spare or a replacement.
Will it fit the AC11?
No. The AC11 uses a fabric sock or the AC11S insert. Check the lid: screw-on is the AC10 body, clip is the AC11.
Can I run the filter without a screen?
You can, but there is no point. Without the element the filter body is an empty chamber and everything passes through it to the machine.
How do I clean it?
Rinse with clean water from the clean side outward, so soil is pushed off the mesh rather than further into it. Let it dry before it goes back in.
How long should one last?
Stainless mesh is not a scheduled consumable. Most are retired because of damage — a dropped filter, or a screen levered out with a screwdriver — rather than wear.

What We See in the Field
Screens are usually damaged out of the machine rather than in it — prised out with a screwdriver, or stood on after being left on the van floor while the body is rinsed. A distorted rim is easy to miss, because the filter still assembles and still looks right. It simply stops sealing, and everything the screen was there to catch goes past it.
