Overview
Replacement solution hose assembly for the Sapphire Scientific Clear-View Upholstery Pro (AW59). Sapphire part number 18-221-01, listed in Sapphire's parts schedule as Hose Assembly, 3/16 ID × 1/8 NPT × 1/4 NPT.
It carries solution from the machine's quick connect to the tool's valve body. It is a high-pressure hose with crimped fittings, not a length of tube with a clamp.

Important — Sapphire list two lengths
- 18-221-01 — the long assembly, 1/8 NPT × 1/4 NPT. This part.
- 18-220-01 — the short assembly, 5.0 inch, 1/8 NPT × 1/8 NPT both ends.
The end fittings differ, not just the length. Check what is on your tool before you order — 18-220-01 is not currently a stocked CCW line, so if you need the short one, ask us.
When to replace it
A weeping hose on an upholstery tool is not something to live with. You are working on fabric, often in a customer's home, and a hose that seeps at a crimp puts solution where you did not intend it.
Replace it when you see weeping at either fitting, any bulge or soft spot in the cover, or exposed braid. A high-pressure hose that has started to show braid is at the end of its life regardless of whether it is leaking yet.
Check the hose whenever you have the tool cover off for a glide or trigger service — it costs nothing to look while you are already in there.

Which end goes where?
1/8 NPT and 1/4 NPT. Check the fittings on your existing hose before ordering — the short assembly 18-220-01 is 1/8 NPT at both ends.
Can I make one up from bulk hose?
This is a crimped high-pressure assembly. A workshop-made replacement on push-on fittings is not the same thing and does not belong on a tool being used in someone's living room.
What pressure is it rated to?
Sapphire do not publish a figure for the assembly in the documentation we hold, and we are not going to quote one we cannot verify. Ask us if you need it.
