Overview
In-line vacuum filtration box that catches carpet fibre, grit and debris before it reaches the truckmount waste tank. It sits in the vacuum line between the tool and the machine.
Why fit one
Everything the wand picks up travels down the vacuum hose. On flood extraction and heavily soiled commercial work that includes fibre, grit, and whatever was on the floor before the water arrived.
Catching it in a filter box that you can open and empty is easier than recovering it from the waste tank, and it keeps debris away from the tank outlet and the pump-out. The observation window means you can see the box loading up rather than discovering it when airflow drops.
Twin inlets
The cleaning side has two 2 inch inlets, so two operators can work from the one box — two wands, or a wand and a hard surface tool — rather than running a second vacuum line back to the machine.
Whether your machine has the vacuum capacity to run two tools at once is a separate question, and depends on the truckmount rather than on the box. Ask us if you are not sure what your machine will carry.

Operating and maintenance
Empty it before it fills rather than after. A filter box packed solid restricts airflow, and lost airflow at the box costs you recovery at the wand — the same symptom as a blocked hose or a tired blower, from a much easier place to fix.
Rinse the stainless filter rather than knocking it out dry, and check the window seats properly when you refit it. Air drawn in at the window is air not being drawn through the tool.
On flood work, check it far more often than you would on routine carpet cleaning.
Matching vacuum hoses are available if you need to make up the run between the box, the tool and the machine — for example the 63mm (2.5 inch) x 15m vacuum hose on the extractor side.
Frequently asked questions
Which machines does it suit?
Any truckmount whose vacuum hose matches the connections above. It is a hose-line accessory rather than a machine-specific part.
Can two operators really work from it?
The box provides two 2 inch cleaning-side inlets. Whether your truckmount can supply two tools at once depends on the machine, not on the box.
Do I still need a filter in the machine?
Yes. This reduces what reaches the tank, it does not replace the machine's own filtration. Keep servicing the machine as the manufacturer specifies.
How often should it be emptied?
On condition — that is what the window is for. Flood extraction and heavily soiled commercial carpet will fill it far faster than routine residential work.
What is the filter made from?
Stainless steel, in a rotomoulded polyethylene housing with a removable polycarbonate window.
