Overview
Hand tool for upholstery and automotive interiors, with a clear head cover so the operator can see the fabric and the recovered water as it comes off. Sapphire Scientific part number 67-019-C, the clear-housing version with the white glide. Also catalogued as Legend Brands 114810.
The head extracts in both directions across the fabric, so the stroke works on the pull and the push rather than only on the pull.
How it works
- Dual extraction slots. Recovery in both directions across the surface.
- Adjustable solution flow. A flow adjustment valve with a sliding trigger lock lets you set flow to the fabric — heavy for soiled synthetics, restricted for delicate work — and hold it there.
- Sliding vacuum release. Vacuum strength is adjusted at the tool, on the fly, rather than at the machine.
- In-line 50 mesh strainer. Catches debris in the solution line before it reaches the jet.
- Clear cover. You can see what is coming out of the fabric, which is how you judge when a section is done.
Connecting it
The rear vacuum coupling fits either size in common use: it slides over a 1½ inch i.d. hose, or inside a 2 inch i.d. hose. The solution line connects by quick-connect at the rear.
The tool suits any truckmount or portable carpet extraction machine. CCW supplies the clear truckmount version, 67-019-C, with the solution control valve. Sapphire also catalogue a portable-specific build, 67-019-P, fitted with a pressure-reducing orifice; CCW does not stock it, and in our experience it is not needed to run the tool on a portable.

Safety
Sapphire's instructions carry a specific warning: the flow adjustment valve assembly can become extremely hot in use. Keep the valve wrap closed. On a truckmount running hot solution this is not a theoretical caution.
Servicing
The tool is designed to be serviced in the field. The glide and the trigger valve can both be changed with basic hand tools in a few minutes, which matters on a tool that lives in a van and earns money every day.
Replacing the glide is a cover-off job: four cover screws, four glide screws, then the glide and its O-ring seal. The O-ring is the part that decides whether it works — a glide fitted without its seal properly seated will not hold vacuum, and the tool feels like it has lost suction with nothing visibly wrong.

Frequently asked questions
Will it fit my vacuum hose?
The rear coupling suits 1½ inch i.d. hose (coupling over the hose) or 2 inch i.d. hose (coupling inside the hose), so both common sizes are covered.
Can I use it on a portable?
Yes. The Upholstery Pro works on truckmounts and portables alike. CCW supplies the clear truckmount version, which is the one we stock and the one we recommend for either machine type.
What is the difference between 67-019 and 67-019-C?
67-019 has a blue housing. 67-019-C, this one, has the clear housing and white glide, so you can see the fabric and the recovered water while you work.
My tool has lost suction but nothing looks broken. What should I check?
Check the glide and its O-ring seal first, and check the cover screws are even and tight. A seal that is not seating loses vacuum with nothing obvious to see. After that, check the in-line strainer for debris.
Can I service it myself?
Yes, for the glide and the trigger valve — Sapphire specify basic hand tools and a few minutes for both. Parts are listed above.
Does it spray onto the fabric?
Solution is delivered through the glide as the head is drawn across the surface, rather than sprayed ahead of the tool, so it does not mist onto surrounding boxing and piping.
