Spotting brush
The Spotting Brush has nylon bristles to give extra stiffness and long life, and is a required part of any professional spotting kit. The brush is best used by tamping rather than scrubbing the soiled area.
How to use it without damaging pile
The purpose of a spotting brush is to move chemical into the base of the pile, not to scrub the face. Tamp and work in the direction of the pile rather than in circles. Circular scrubbing on cut pile distorts the yarn and produces a permanent bloom that is far more visible than the spot was.
Nylon bristles are stiff enough to reach the base and resilient enough not to collapse in solvent.
Part of the kit
Pair it with a bone scraper for lifting solids, and keep the whole kit in an insulated spotting bag so the chemicals stay in one place and out of the customer’s way.
