Product Overview
Brass shut-off valve assembly for Hydro-Force TWBS pump-up sprayers, supplied with its hose clamp.
This is the trigger valve at the end of the hose — the part you actually operate all day, and the one that wears out first on a sprayer that gets used.
Fitment
The equivalent Chapin assembly is 6-1898, listed for the AS16, AS202 and AS204. Usefully, Chapin lists it against both its older models and its XP models, so unlike the relief valve this part appears to span both generations. That said, we have not been able to confirm directly that CCW's NA1608 and Chapin 6-1898 are the same item, so if the fit is critical, tell us your sprayer and we will check.
Not Published
Thread size, hose barb size, seal material and maximum working pressure are not published by Chapin or any distributor. We have raised all four with the supplier. If you are matching this to something other than a standard Hydro-Force sprayer, contact us rather than assume.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the same as the AS16A valve?
No. The AS16A takes a different part — see the Brass Shut Off Valve for AS16A (B&G 42037500). The A-suffix machines are built by B&G rather than Chapin and use B&G part numbers.
Does it come with the clamp?
Yes, the assembly is supplied with a hose clamp.
My trigger has gone stiff rather than leaking. Replace or service?
Stiffness is usually the seal drying out or chemical residue in the bore. Flush it first. If it will not free up, replace it — a trigger that sticks open on a pressurised tank is a hazard.
Old style or new style?
This valve appears on both Chapin generations, unlike the relief valve. Check with us if the fit matters.

What We See in the Field
A shut-off valve that begins to dribble usually has contamination or wear at the valve seat. Operators often squeeze the handle harder until something else bends; that doesn't improve the seal.
Tell us your sprayer model and we will confirm the right shut-off before you order.
