This GreenGlides slotted glide fits all versions of the post-2015 Westpak Low Profile 2 or 4-jet 12 inch wands that have 1/4 in tall metal lips, regardless of vacuum tube size or metal type. That includes the Sapphire private-label version of the wand.
Measure the metal lips before ordering to work out whether you need the older external-fit or the newer internal-fit glide.
Important: Choosing the Right Westpak 12 Inch Glide
Westpak changed the lip design on its 12 inch wands around 2015, and CCW lists several GreenGlides glides for these wands. GreenGlides' rule is to measure the metal lips before ordering: post-2015 Low Profile 2 and 4-jet wands with 1/4 in tall lips take an internal-fit glide; older wands take the external-fit glide.
The other 12 inch Westpak glides we list:
- AW5GGWP4i: Internal fit, 4-jet slotted, post-2015
- AW5GGWP4-3S: Titanium 4-jet slotted, post-2015
- AW5GGWP2LPS: Low profile 2-jet slotted
- AW5GGWP4S-SA: External fit, old-style (pre-2015) Sapphire/Westpak 12 in
Each is a separate stocked part. Measure your lips, or email a photo of the wand head with a tape across it, and we will confirm the right glide before you order.
Slotted, Holed or Hybrid?
- Slotted: maximum agitation and debris removal. The best choice on dirtier carpet with debris in or on it, and for operators who like some grab at the carpet. GreenGlides' slots have recessed bridges, so a new glide leaves no lines in the carpet; as the face wears, the bridges can be recessed again with a knife, razor or rotary tool.
- Holed: easiest push and fastest drying, with less agitation.
- Hybrid: a compromise between the two.
A glide also protects the wand's metal lips from direct carpet contact. As a glide wears, the wand pushes harder and exposed lips can mark the carpet.
Fitting
These wands are made from sheet metal and welded by hand, so there is slight to moderate variation from wand to wand. GreenGlides say most glides fit snugly first time; some are a little loose and some a little tight.
- Loose: gently squeeze the opening in a bench vice to narrow it, or secure the glide with a shoe-goo type silicone.
- Tight: trim the glide material very carefully with a box knife where it catches, a little at a time. The wand lips can also be eased open slightly with a pry bar.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if I need internal or external fit?
Measure the metal lips. Post-2015 wands with 1/4 in tall lips take the internal fit; older wands take the external fit.
Does it matter if my wand is titanium or stainless?
No. GreenGlides list this glide for all versions regardless of tube size or metal type.
What if it is loose?
Narrow the opening gently in a bench vice, or secure it with a shoe-goo type silicone.
What if it is too tight?
Trim carefully with a box knife where it catches, a little at a time.
A Note on This Listing
This listing was previously titled "Old Style ... (post 2015)", which contradicted itself. It is the internal-fit glide for post-2015 wands. We have also removed an image that was hot-linked from the GreenGlides website.
Glide fitment depends on the exact wand, the year it was made and whether the head is an internal or external fit. Measure your wand lips or send us a photo with a tape across the head, and we will confirm the right glide before you order. A glide that nearly fits does not fit.
