Greenglides Glide Internal Fit for Westpak 12" 4-Jet Slot Wands (Post-2015)
A worn or missing wand glide makes a carpet wand noticeably harder to push and pull, increases operator fatigue, and exposes the wand's metal lips to accelerated wear. Fitting the correct replacement glide restores smooth glide-over-carpet performance and protects your equipment.
This GreenGlides slotted glide is an internal-fit replacement designed for post-2015 ("New Style") Westpak 12" Low Profile wands, including both 2-jet and 4-jet configurations, and equivalent privately labelled versions such as Sapphire-branded wands. Current SKU AW5GGWP4i (also compatible with earlier GreenGlides SKUs WP12LP3 and WP4-3).
Compatibility
- Westpak 12" Low Profile 2-Jet wands (post-2015)
- CMP Wand 1.5" x 12" 4 Jet Low Profile
- Private label equivalents of the above (Sapphire-branded)
Important: Westpak wands changed lip design part-way through production. Post-2015 ("New Style") wands use thinner internal lips and require this Internal Fit glide. Pre-2015 ("Old Style") wands have a different, thicker lip profile and need the separate External Fit glide for Old Style Westpak wands instead. If you are not sure which version you have, compare your existing glide or wand lip against both listings, or contact us before ordering.
Why a Slotted Glide?
GreenGlides glides are available in Slot, Hole and Hybrid patterns. Slotted glides give a firmer, more controlled feel against the carpet and are a good choice on dirtier carpet or where some resistance at the wand face is preferred. Hole and hybrid patterns push more easily and dry faster, but this listing is specifically for the slotted pattern.
Key Features
- Internal-fit design for post-2015 Westpak Low Profile wands.
- Slotted face for a controlled, positive feel against carpet.
- Fits both 2-jet and 4-jet Low Profile wand configurations.
- Suits steel and titanium wand construction.
- Protects the wand's metal lips from direct carpet contact and wear.
Fitting Advice
These wands are constructed from sheet metal and welded by hand, so there is normal minor variation between individual wands of the same model. Most glides fit snugly straight out of the box. If a glide feels loose after fitting, it can be secured with a small bead of suitable adhesive or sealant. If a glide is a tight fit, gently ease it over the wand lips rather than forcing it, and avoid trimming the glide material unless you are confident doing so, as removing too much can affect retention.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit my Westpak wand?
It is designed for post-2015 ("New Style") Westpak 12" Low Profile 2-jet and 4-jet wands, including Sapphire-branded equivalents. Pre-2015 ("Old Style") wands need the separate External Fit glide instead. Compare against both listings or contact us if you are unsure.
What is the difference between Internal Fit and External Fit?
The two versions match the different wand lip designs used before and after the manufacturing change around 2015. Fitting the wrong version will not seat correctly, so it is worth checking before ordering.
Why choose a slotted glide over a hole or hybrid pattern?
A slotted glide gives a firmer, more controlled feel against the carpet, which suits dirtier carpet or cleaners who prefer some resistance at the wand face. Hole and hybrid patterns push more easily and dry faster.
Can a worn glide affect cleaning performance?
Yes. As a glide wears, the wand becomes harder to push and the exposed metal lips can begin to contact and mark the carpet.
Is minor fitting adjustment normal?
Yes. These wands are hand-welded, so slight variation between individual wands is normal. Most glides fit snugly; occasionally a glide may need to be secured if loose, or eased gently into place if tight.
