Why grooming is the last thing you do
Grooming a carpet after cleaning sets the pile in one direction, lifts crushed areas and opens the pile so it dries faster. It also removes wand marks, which is the thing a customer notices most and mentions first.
Groom while the carpet is still damp, working in one consistent direction, and finish toward the exit so you are not walking back over it.
Three jobs, not one
A groomer works prespray into the pile before cleaning, agitates spotting chemistry during the job, and sets the nap at the end. Most operators own one and use it for all three.

Long rake tines can snag or fuzz loop pile. The brush's single row of nylon fibres agitates without catching loops, which is why it is the usual choice on Berber and fine textiles. Test on an inconspicuous area first on any delicate rug.

Care
- Rinse the head in clean water after use with prespray, spotting chemistry or protector, and let it dry bristles-down.
- Pick out hair and fibre from the bristles before the next job so it is not dragged across a clean carpet.
- Store it hanging or head-up so the bristles do not take a set.

Can I replace just the head?
Yes. The Grandi Brush replacement head is the head only, and the Grandi Groomer handle is sold separately.
Is it safe on wool?
The brush is recommended for wool and other fine carpets. Groom damp, in one direction, with light pressure, and test first on a hidden area of any valuable rug.
Should I use a brush or a rake to work in prespray?
On loop pile, Berber and fine textiles, use the brush. On heavily soiled cut-pile traffic lanes, the rake's longer tines reach deeper.
