Water Claw Sub-Surface Spot Lifter, 7 x 8 inch. When the problem is in the carpet backing or the pad, this is the tool that reaches it — flushing out urine contamination, soft drinks, oils, soap residues and food spills from below the surface.

Why Sub-Surface
A wand cleans the face of the carpet. Contamination that has run into the backing and pad stays there, and wicks back up as the carpet dries. Extracting from the pad up is how you remove the source rather than the symptom.
