Important — Check Where Your Pressure Relief Valve Sits
Hydro-Force changed these sprayers during production, and the two versions take different pump assemblies. You can tell them apart in seconds without dismantling anything:

Look at the sprayer before ordering. If the relief valve is on the pump rather than the jug, this is not the part for it, and the part that fits is no longer made — talk to us about the options before you buy anything.
What It Is
A complete assembly rather than a component, so a worn or failed pump is changed as a unit instead of being rebuilt in the field. On a hand-pumped sprayer that is usually the sensible economics: the pump is most of the working mechanism.

Operating Advice
- Release all pressure before working on the sprayer. A pump-up vessel holds pressure long after the last stroke.
- Check the relief valve is working as part of the same service. It is the safety component on a pressurised vessel.
- Flush the sprayer out after solvent-bearing or acidic chemistry. Most pump failures on these sprayers start as seal damage from what was left in them.
- Store it depressurised.

How do I tell which version I have?
Look at where the pressure relief valve is. On the jug means newer and this part. On the pump assembly means older.
What if mine is the older version?

Does it fit both the AS202 and the AS204?
Yes, on the newer versions of both.
Can I rebuild my pump instead?
This is supplied as a complete assembly. Tell us what has failed and we will say whether a rebuild is realistic.
Is the relief valve included?
On the newer sprayers the relief valve is on the jug, not the pump. It is a separate part — Pressure Relief Valve, new style (NA2310).
