ODORx Bad Odour Blocks™ Apple (each)

The Bad Odour Block is a simple, convenient method to quickly suppress odours in virtually any location. Available in a wide variety of pleasant scents, the natural wicking block starts dispensing when the sealed package is opened. The Bad Odour Block media holds more than three times its weight in active ingredients for long-lasting deodorisation.

What It Does — and What It Does Not

A Bad Odour Block releases fragrance and deodoriser into the air moving past it. It makes a space more comfortable while work is under way. It does not remove the source of an odour.

If a wet carpet smells during drying, the block helps the occupants live with it — but the smell itself means moisture or contamination is still there. Keep drying to your moisture readings, and deal with the source (for example contaminated underlay, or residue from a smoke loss) before the job is signed off.

How to Use It

1. Leave the block sealed until you need it. It starts dispensing as soon as the package is opened.
2. Wear gloves when unwrapping and handling the block.
3. Place it in the airflow — a vent, duct, vehicle or boat interior, or the intake side of an air mover or carpet dryer.
4. Secure it so it cannot be drawn into a fan or fall into the work area, and keep it clear of carpet, upholstery and finished surfaces it could mark.
5. Replace it when the scent fades. Legend Brands say a block can control odour for months, depending on the application.

Safety

Legend Brands' Safety Data Sheet (US GHS format, 8 June 2022) classifies the Apple block as Warning — may cause an allergic skin reaction (skin sensitiser, Category 1).

• Wear protective gloves when handling the block, and wash skin with plenty of water if it contacts the block. Get medical advice if a rash or irritation develops.
• Avoid breathing concentrated vapour, for example from an opened block in a closed container.
• Store in a cool, well-ventilated place.

How long does a block last?

Legend Brands say a block can control odour for months, depending on the application. Strong airflow and warm conditions use it up faster.

Will it get rid of wet carpet odour?

It suppresses the odour while drying is under way. It does not fix the cause — lingering odour after drying means moisture or contamination is still present.

Can I use it in a vehicle or boat?

Yes — Legend Brands list vehicles and boats among the places to use it. Keep it off hot surfaces and place it where people will not handle it.

Do you sell them in bulk?

CCW sells the blocks individually. Legend Brands pack them in cases of 25 — ask us if you want a case quantity.

Which scents are available?

CCW lists Apple, Cherry and Lemon-Lime. Legend Brands' spec sheet also lists Vanilla and Orange; ask us if you want one of those.
