Product Overview
Genflex 3/4 inch green pump-out hose, 15 metres, with heavy duty full-flow brass couplings. It is the hose that carries recovered waste water from the machine to a disposal point.
Important — This Is Not a Solution Hose
A pump-out hose and a solution hose are not interchangeable, and the difference is not cosmetic.
| Pump-out hose (this product) | Pro 4000 solution hose | |
|---|---|---|
| Internal diameter | 3/4 inch | 1/4 inch |
| Pressure | 500 psi burst | 4,000 psi working |
| Carries | Waste water out, at low pressure | Hot solution in, at high pressure |
| Couplings | Garden hose type, brass | Quick connects |
500 psi is a burst figure, not a working pressure. Working pressure on a hose is a fraction of its burst rating. Never put a pump-out hose on a solution line.
Why the Construction Matters
- Patented 6-ply construction — a pump-out hose is dragged out, run across a driveway or a garden, then dragged back wet. Ply count is what keeps it serviceable.
- Kink resistant — a kinked pump-out line stops the pump, and the first sign is usually a full waste tank.
- Stays flexible in the cold — a hose that goes stiff overnight is difficult to deploy on an early start.
- Full-flow brass couplings — the couplings do not restrict the bore, which matters when you are moving volume rather than pressure.
- Lightweight for its size.

The manufacturer does not publish a working pressure or a temperature rating for this hose. Rather than infer a working figure from the burst rating, we have left it out — ask us if it matters for your setup.
Cap It When It Is Not in Use
A pump-out hose left open drains whatever is in it into the van. A brass cap and washer on the end solves that:
- Garden Hose End Cap (BR325) — supplied without a washer
- Washer for Garden Hose End Cap (BR600)
Order both together. The cap will not seal on its own.
Operating Advice
- Run it out before starting the pump, not after. A pump against a coiled or kinked line achieves nothing.
- Check the run for kinks when the waste tank fills unexpectedly — that is the usual cause.
- Dispose of waste water lawfully. Where it goes is a compliance question, not a convenience one.
- Drain and cap it before it goes back in the van.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use it as a solution hose?
No. It is rated at 500 psi burst, and a solution line needs a hose rated for working pressure in the thousands. Use the Pro 4000 (AH176).
Can I use it as a fresh water inlet hose?
It is a garden-type hose with brass couplings, so mechanically yes. Keep a dedicated hose for fresh water rather than using one that has carried waste.
Does it come with a cap?
No. The cap and washer are separate — BR325 and BR600.
Why does my pump-out slow down?
A kink in the line, a blocked filter, or the run being longer or higher than the pump will manage. Check the line before the pump.

What We See in the Field
Pump-out hose is the least considered hose on the truck and the one most likely to be dragged across a customer's lawn and then thrown in wet. It is also the one that gets pressed into service as a fresh water hose in a pinch, which is worth avoiding for obvious reasons.
