Overview
Felt hub gasket for the HydraMaster RX-20 rotary extractor. HydraMaster part number 000-057-047, listed in the parts list as Gasket, Felt Hub.
The felt gasket seals the rotating hub. As the felt compresses and wears it starts to leak air, and the first symptom is usually lost vacuum at the heads rather than anything visible at the hub itself.

Which RX-20 does this fit?
HydraMaster has built the RX-20 since the 1980s and there have been many revisions. Carpet Cleaners Warehouse supplies the current machine, the RX20 NEXTGEN, model 700-041-036 (CE, 230 V, 50 Hz).
The current owner's manual, MAN-47328 Rev. B (March 2019), covers models 700-041-030, -031, -032, -035, -036, -330, -331, -332, -333, -334 and -407. Earlier machines are covered by their own editions, going back to c. 1987.
Before ordering, check the model number on your machine's data plate. If you are unsure, contact us with the number and we will confirm the correct part.
Confirmed against the HydraMaster parts lists in the 2011 owner’s manual (models 700-041-006 and -007), the 2014 edition (700-041-006, -007, -014, -316, -318 and -322) and the current 2019 NEXTGEN edition, MAN-47328 Rev. B.
In the NEXTGEN parts lists it is item 5 of vacuum head assembly 604-053-100, one per machine, listed as Gasket, Felt in felt. That assembly is fitted to every NEXTGEN variant, including the CE 230 V 50 Hz machine, model 700-041-036, which is the one we supply.

Frequently asked questions
How many do I need?
One per machine. Unlike the vacuum head gasket, which takes five, the hub seal is a single item.
How do I know it has gone?
Lost vacuum at the heads with nothing visible at the hub. The felt compresses and wears gradually, so it leaks well before it looks worn out.
Should I replace it when I service the hub?
Yes. It is a low-cost item and the hub has to come apart to reach it, so replacing it while you are in there saves a second strip-down.
