Delmhorst JLX-30 Leather Moisture Meter with Case

Regular price $1,609.72

The Delmhorst JLX-30 is a leather moisture meter calibrated from 10% to 28% moisture content. It replaces the JL-2000 and brings the leather range onto the current Delmhorst platform — the same meter body, display and app used by the BDX-30 and JX-30, calibrated for leather.

Leather is measured in a narrow band, and the consequences of getting it wrong are cracking, stiffness, mould and rejected batches. A meter calibrated for timber will give you a number on leather, but not one with a defensible relationship to actual moisture content.

What is in this package

  • JLX-30 meter
  • 324CAS-0111 hard carrying case

Supplied as JLX-30W/CS. The case is the same 324CAS-0111 used across the current Delmhorst 30-series, so it takes the same inserts and accessories.

What the EDGE app adds

Readings carry a timestamp and geotag and export to CSV. For a tannery or a manufacturer running batch records, that turns spot checks into a traceable moisture history rather than figures written on a clipboard.

Frequently asked questions

What happened to the JL-2000?

The JLX-30 supersedes it. If you are running a JL-2000 it continues to work and we can still help with electrodes — the JLX-30 is the current model for new purchases.

Why not use a wood moisture meter?

Calibration. Resistance-to-moisture behaviour differs by material, so a wood scale applied to leather produces a reading with no reliable relationship to moisture content. On a commercial batch that is not a number you can act on.

Is 10% to 28% the right range?

It is the working band for finished and part-processed leather. Outside it you are generally either into wet-blue territory or dealing with material that is already too dry to work.

Can I use my existing electrodes?

Yes. The JLX-30 takes any Delmhorst external electrode, so probes from an earlier meter carry across.

Support and warranty

Carpet Cleaners Warehouse is the exclusive Australian distributor for Delmhorst outside the agricultural sector. Service, calibration questions and warranty claims are handled here rather than sent overseas, and we hold electrodes and pins in stock.

Two year warranty on manufacturing defects. This does not exclude, restrict or modify your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

From the workshop

[Technician’s Note — replace before publishing: two to four sentences of first-hand CCW field experience relevant to this product. A pattern you see, a mistake customers make, or something learned from servicing or selling it. Not spec repetition, not a sales pitch, not invented.]

Documents

Delmhorst have not published an owner’s manual for the JLX-30 — the brochure above is the current literature. We have asked them for one. In the meantime, operation follows the same pattern as the rest of the 30-series and we can talk you through it.
