Air-Care Heavy Duty Blue Hose 305mm (12") x 7.6m with Strap Collar

Regular price $1,307.77

The Air-Care FG0054 is a 305 mm (12″) heavy duty blue collection hose, 7.6 m (25 ft) long, supplied with a strap collar.

This is the hose that carries debris from the duct opening back to the machine. It is the working link in the system and it takes the punishment — dragged across roof cavities, over ceiling joists and around plant rooms — which is why the heavy duty construction matters more here than almost anywhere else in the kit.

Fitment

Air-Care specify FG0054 for the TurboJet. It connects using a strap collar rather than a worm-drive clamp.

Compatibility with the TurboMax range is not documented by Air-Care for this heavy duty hose, though they do list a light duty Mylar hose in the same 12″ × 25 ft size for TurboJet and TurboMax, and a 12″ collar valve for both. Send us your machine model before ordering and we will confirm.

Heavy duty or light duty?

Air-Care make two hoses in this size and they are not the same product:

  • Heavy duty blue — this hose, FG0054
  • Light duty Mylar — a lighter, cheaper alternative Air-Care list separately

The heavy duty hose is the one to run if the hose is being dragged over structure, if you are working commercial systems, or if the same length is going to be handled daily for years. The light weight of a Mylar hose is a genuine advantage on residential work where a technician is carrying it up a ladder, but it will not take the same abrasion. CCW stocks the heavy duty version — contact us if you want the Mylar quoted.

Care and service life

Hose life is decided by how it is handled between jobs, not on the job. Coil it rather than folding it, keep it off gravel and hot surfaces when it is out of the van, and check the collar strap and the first metre at each end — that is where wear and pinholes show first.

A hose leaking under negative pressure does not spray, it quietly pulls unfiltered air in. The symptom is loss of suction at the duct with the machine sounding normal. Run a hand along the length with the machine running if you are chasing lost airflow.

Warranty

Hoses are a wearing item. Abrasion, crushing and puncture damage through use are not covered as defects.

Your rights under Australian law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

If a hose arrives damaged or is not as described, contact us and we will handle it from this end.

Frequently asked questions

Does it come with a clamp?

It is supplied with a strap collar, not a worm-drive clamp. Earlier CCW listings described this as a clamp, which was incorrect.

Will it fit my TurboMax?

Air-Care specify this hose for the TurboJet and do not document TurboMax fitment for it. Send us your machine model and we will confirm before you order.

What is the difference between this and the Mylar hose?

Construction. This is the heavy duty blue hose; the Mylar is a lighter, less abrasion-resistant alternative in the same diameter and length.

Can I join two lengths?

Air-Care produce collar valves and adaptors in this diameter. Contact us with what you are trying to reach and we will work out the run.

What we see in the field

With large collection hose, the mistake we see is treating it like ordinary vacuum hose and not thinking about airflow. Every unnecessary bend, crushed section or poorly positioned run adds resistance between the machine and the work area, so take the extra minute to lay the hose out properly before starting. And when the job's finished, don't just throw a big hose like this into the van wet, crushed or tightly kinked — looking after the airflow path is part of looking after the performance of the machine.
