Neoprene gasket strip for truckmount waste and recovery tanks, supplied as a full roll and cut to length. Sapphire part number 41-018. Also catalogued as Legend Brands 122932.
Cut it to suit the tank you are sealing. Because it is supplied as strip rather than as a moulded gasket, one roll covers every position on a tank — and tanks of different sizes — instead of a separate part number for each.

This strip supersedes the pre-cut HydraMaster recovery tank gaskets. One roll covers every position:

Four part numbers, four chances to order the wrong one. Cut from strip there is no wrong part — you cut what the tank needs.
Is a full roll worth it for one repair?
Worth being straight about this: a single pre-cut gasket cost less than a roll. What you are buying here is different — 13.7 metres re-gaskets a recovery tank several times over, and it covers every position on the tank rather than one.
For a workshop, an operator running more than one machine, or anyone who would rather not wait on a part, the roll pays for itself the second time a tank is opened. For a one-off repair on a single machine, talk to us first — we would rather help you work out what you actually need than sell you more than the job requires.
Older tanks take a different gasket
This strip is for tanks where the gasket sits flat against the underside of the lid. On older HydraMaster tanks the gasket is pushed onto the edge of the tank itself, and that arrangement takes Gasket, Recovery Tank — All Units (057-043) instead. Check the tank before ordering.
Fitting
This strip is not self-adhesive. If you are replacing a self-adhesive gasket, that is a change to the job — allow for a suitable gasket adhesive, or for the strip being held in position as the lid or flange is fitted.
Clean the sealing face back to bare metal first. Old adhesive and compressed gasket residue are the most common cause of a leak that appears immediately after a tank service.
Measure and cut on the machine rather than off it, and butt the ends squarely rather than overlapping. An overlap holds the sealing face open either side of the join, which is the one place a cut gasket tends to leak.
How much do I need?
Measure the sealing face and add a little for squaring the ends. If you are not sure how much your tank takes, send us the machine model and serial number and we will work it out with you before you order.
