These stainless jet extensions allow you to place your 1/8" jets closer to the carpet, providing improved spray patterning, pressure and heat, thus increasing your cleaning power. Jet extensions are typically needed if you have a glide on your wand.
Being high grade stainless, they will not crack like so many brass jet extenders do.
Why a Glide Changes Your Jets
A glide lifts the wand head off the carpet by the thickness of the glide. The jets stay where they were, so they now sit higher above the pile. The spray fans out further before it lands, the pattern loses its overlap, and the solution cools and loses pressure on the way down. A jet extension screws in between the wand's jet port and the jet and moves the jet tip back down towards the carpet.
This is the long extension, at 7/8" (22 mm). It suits wands where the glide or the head design leaves the jet a long way above the carpet. If your wand only needs a small correction, a long extension can put the jet too close, which narrows the fan and leaves stripes.

Fitting Advice
- Measure first. With the glide fitted and the wand resting on the floor, check how far each jet tip sits above the carpet, and choose the extension that brings it back to where the wand maker intended.
- Fit the same length to every jet on the wand, so all jets spray from the same height and the fans overlap evenly.
- Use thread sealant suited to hot water and cleaning chemicals, and do not overtighten into the wand body.
- After fitting, spray onto a dry test area or a piece of cardboard and check the pattern is even with no gaps between jets.
- Re-check the jets for wear at the same time; an extension will not fix a worn or damaged jet tip.
