What the concrete adapter changes
A tile spinner is built to seal against a flat surface. Concrete, pavers and other uneven hard surfaces break that seal, and the tool either drags or loses recovery. The concrete adapter raises the head onto casters so it rides over the irregularity instead of fighting it, which turns the tile tool into a surface cleaner for pressure washing.
Recovery is reduced compared with tile work — you are no longer holding a tight seal — so plan for water management on the surface rather than assuming the tool will pick it all up.

Does it fit the 12 inch TH-40?
No. Use the 12 inch concrete adapter for the TH-40.
Can I take it off between jobs?
Yes. It is designed to attach and remove so the same tool can move between tile inside and concrete outside.
Why is recovery lower on concrete?
The casters hold the ring just above the surface so it does not snag. That gap costs some vacuum. Slow down and overlap passes, and manage run-off at the edges.
