Check it before you blame the machine
The vacuum hose on a spinner is flexed continuously and dragged across abrasive surfaces. It fails by developing splits along its length or at the cuffs — and a split hose leaks air rather than water, so there is nothing to see.
The symptom is a tool that will not dry the floor. Before condemning a vacuum motor, run the tool with the hose off and feel for lift, then check the hose along its whole length with the machine running.
