Strainer check valve for 1/4 inch VeeJets
A combined check valve and strainer that fits behind a 1/4 inch VeeJet. The check valve stops the jet dripping when the trigger is released; the strainer keeps debris out of the orifice.

Check the jet size before ordering
This is the 1/4 inch version. For 1/8 inch VeeJets use the stubby check strainer. They are not interchangeable.
Why fit one at all
A dripping jet puts water into the carpet where you did not intend it, which is where over-wetting starts. A partly blocked jet sprays off pattern and produces streaking that gets blamed on the operator. A check strainer deals with both, and it is a cheaper part than either problem.
