Replace seals as a matter of course, not on failure
An oil seal fails gradually — a weep, then a drip, then oil across the deck. On a truckmount that oil ends up on the van floor and eventually on a customer’s driveway. If the engine is apart for any reason, renew the seals while you are in there.
Genuine parts on a truckmount engine
The engine on a truckmount is the machine. An hour of downtime is a job cancelled, and the part that stopped it is almost always a small one. Genuine and correctly specified parts are not a premium here — they are what stops a two-dollar component costing a day of work.
Engine parts are specific to the model and often to the revision. Send us the engine model and serial numbers from the shroud and we will confirm the part before you order.
