Power Cord For Phoenix Equipment 3Mtrs IEC-C13

Regular price $35.09

Overview

Power cord for Phoenix equipment — 3 metres, IEC-C13. Phoenix part number 4036630.

The C13 is the common three-pin IEC connector — the same family used on a great deal of mains equipment — so the thing that matters when ordering is the length and the plug end, not the connector.

What it fits

Phoenix equipment taking a detachable IEC-C13 cordset. We have not been able to locate this part number in the Phoenix parts lists we hold, so we cannot name specific machines from a manufacturer document.

What the parts lists do name is the D385's 3 ft IEC cord (4028256) and the 20 ft IEC-AUS cord (4036629).

Check the inlet on your machine before you order. Send us a photo of the socket if you are unsure and we will confirm.

Choosing between the 3 m and the 6 m

  • 3 metre (this cord) — tidier on site, less to coil, and enough where the machine sits near an outlet or is plugged into a distribution board within the work area.
  • 6 metre (4036629) — better where machines are placed by the drying requirement rather than by where the outlets are, which is most restoration work.

Where you need more than the cord gives you, extend with adequately rated cable rather than a light domestic lead. Voltage drop on a long thin extension causes hard starting on compressors, and it gets misdiagnosed as a capacitor or compressor fault more often than it should.

Electrical safety

A damaged lead on restoration equipment comes out of service immediately. Nicked sheath, cracked plug or conductors visible at the strain relief — replace it, do not tape it.

Equipment used in Australian workplaces is generally subject to periodic electrical testing and tagging obligations, and this gear is worked on wet sites where the consequences of a fault are worse than usual.
